RENSSELAER, NY -- The state University of Albany announced that it will build a new biotech facility located at its East Campus.

Details on the facility are not yet available, but the East Campus program is a critical component in New York state's Gen*NY*Sis program, which stands for "Generating Employment Through New York Science."

The program is a $500 million inititiative in government and private partnerships to bring new life science companies to the state.  Two years ago the East Campus opened a new $45 million cancer research center.
